Cold Rolled

About Cold Rolled

Used in a wide variety of applications such as appliances, both exposed and un-exposed parts, electric motors, as well as many other products, cold rolled steel is highly formable, possesses deep drawability, is exceptionally dent resistant, with enamelability, and contains properties conducive to receiving paint. Cold rolled steel is a hot rolled reduced product mainly in the lighter thicknesses. The cold reduction process uses work hardening rolls to increase the hardness of the steel. However, after cold reduction, the steel will go through an annealing process to make the steel soft and formable, making the end product perfect for use in a variety of appliances as well as automotive and aircraft components.
